Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur and fashion designer. His musical career has been marked by dramatic changes in styles, incorporating an eclectic range of influences including soul, baroque-pop, electro, indie rock, synth-pop, industrial and gospel. Over the course of his career, Ye has been responsible for cultural movements and progressions within mainstream hip hop and popular music at large. His most recent attempts at cultural movements have been related to spreading anti-Semitic conspiracies, promoting racist ideologies, and openly praising Hitler.

On August 24, 2021, Ye applied to have his legal name changed from Kanye Omari West to Ye, which was granted 2 months later on October 19th.
