Director, storyboard artist, and animator best known for Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight.
Furukawa's directorial debut was in 2011 on the Kunihiko Ikuhara-led Mawaru Penguindrum where by the end of the project he was co-storyboarding every episode.
As a director he absorbed many 'Ikuni school' aesthetic flourishes such as recurring visual motifs with different nuance and stage direction, and infused his own action animator background into his storyboards.
