Yami no Ouji is the male Protagonist of the Shironeko Project: Zero Chronicle. He is the Prince of Darkness, the successor of the King of Darkness and the heir to the throne of the Black Kingdom. He has a very strong sense of justice. Although he was born black, he has doubts about the justice of darkness and at the same time he has doubts about the situation of white. He is kindhearted and wisdom. He cares for people as he is willing to protect them from danger. Before he is willing to become the next king of darkness, he vowed he will find the way to protect people from being killed in war.

He doesn't speak much, partly because he isn't good at it. When his village is attacked by monsters that killed all the inhabitants, he becomes introverted. Subsequently he becomes the heir to the throne of the Black Kingdom and, since he is sent as a messenger together with Adel in the White Kingdom, begins to become more extroverted thanks to Iris. He was shocked when he sees his partner Adel trying to kill Iris, but does not hesitate to eliminate him to protect Iris.
