Tooru Hoshina

Member of Yamato's security division. Rank: Warrant Officer. A Tokyo native.

A member of the security division who puts all his trust in Ito. A handsome, sociable young man who always wears a smile. It was later reveled that he secretly works for the Strategic Planning, Division 6, whose task was to investigate member of the Izumo Plan backers who had infiltrated on board the Yamato. He was able to quell the mutiny with help from Shima and Sado.

2202: Former Yamato security officer. A young man with a friendly disposition who is tough and skilled when performing harsh intelligence missions. After Yamato‘s launch, he joined the task force that was left on Earth.

2205: Head of Yamato‘s Security division. Rank: Second Lieutenant. He is a good-natured young man, but always keeps an eye on the ship, assuming the worst. He met his wife Yuria on the voyage to Iscandar, and they were married during the Gatlantis War.

3199: Former Head of Yamato‘s security division. Rank: First Lieutenant. Hoshina, who was in charge of Yamato‘s security department, was transferred to the Defense Command Headquarters following the reorganization of the 65th Escort Squadron, and was appointed head of the security department at the young age of 26. The mission secretly given to him by Commander-in-Chief Todo was to track down “Dezarium sympathizers” hiding within the military.
