A young japanese salaryman killed by a gunshot and reincarnated by a goddess in an alternate, fantasy-like world as Luciel, a teenager blessed with healing magic. To make sure that he lives a long and happy life this time, Luciel works hard to improve himself.

During the events of Volume 8 of the light novel he would lose his holy magic affinity because of a taboo that he broke to save one of his companions and his master Brod and causing himself to die in the process and face a divine trail. During Volume 9 he would pass the trail given to him by the gods and become a sage giving him his affinity for holy magic back along with control over the other elements because of the dragons he has saved during his journey.
