Kotono Nagase is the leader and a member of the Hoshimi Production group Tsuki no Tempest. She is a student at Hoshimi Private High School and her image color is dark blue. She is the younger sister of Mana Nagase.

Despite her cold look, Kotono is a rookie idol with a secret passion. Kotono is a lonely idol who fights with great regret. She is not very good at socializing; she wasn't the type to have many friends to begin with, but after an incident a few years ago, she began to cut off relations with others she was close with. From then on, she started practising on her own, concentrating on becoming an idol. She has a strong desire to reach the top, to reach her sister's level, and is very strict with herself and others.
