Kirou Mekama

Mekama was a gifted child since he was an infant and found everything else to be boring and contrite. He never bothered to have a dream as everything came to him easily. However, upon meeting Sadakuni Ikki he became allured and found his own way of thinking, and his existence, insignificant.

Throughout the Hangman Game, Mekama showed support of Sadakuni Ikki through advice and belittlement of Madarame Baku. He was later confronted by Yakou Hikoichi for his possible bias towards Sadakuni, and in response challenged Yakou to a ranking battle; the battle resulted in his loss and subsequently death, as per rules of the ranking battle. His death was carried out through hanging, using the frame meant for Madarame. While being hung, he witnessed Sadakuni abandon his conviction, resulting in everything he worked for becoming pointless.
